**What you notice**The outdoor unit near the water spends half the night in defrost, and by February a drift has buried the base.

**Post-war bungalows and side-splits.** Alderwood and Islington Village side-splits often keep the gas furnace and add a heat pump as **dual-fuel**. Split-level duct runs get a static pressure check first.

**The Kingsway.** Older Tudor-style homes, some with hydronic heat, some with ducts that were added later. Ductless or central depending on what's there.

**Humber Bay Shores condos.** PTAC and VTAC replacements with the full board package prepared and submitted.

## Covering the lakeshore to the 401

Crews reach the south end along the **Gardiner** and **Lake Shore Blvd W** for Mimico, New Toronto and Long Branch, and come up the **427** and **Islington** for Alderwood, Islington Village and the Kingsway. Humber Bay Shores towers are a short hop off the Gardiner at Park Lawn.
